Ambient Signal
An offline paranormal field-investigation app that maps short environmental microphone samples to entries in a fixed dictionary using a public, deterministic algorithm.
Ambient Signal provides the observation. The investigator provides the interpretation.
How it works
Ambient Signal captures a short environmental microphone sample, processes it locally on the device, and uses a fixed public algorithm to select one entry from a fixed dictionary. Every unique dictionary entry has equal selection probability.
Offline by design
No account. No cloud dependency. Investigation functionality works offline. Environmental audio is processed locally, without AI interpretation or speech recognition.
Transparent methodology
The dictionary and deterministic selection algorithm are publicly documented in Ambient Signal Core. Implementation details live on GitHub rather than in marketing copy.
Session data
Sessions, generated responses, notes, and optional retained source audio stay on the device unless you explicitly export or share a report using platform sharing tools.
